AHEC - ROUND 4 - BUSH RANGER BASH

Australian Hard Enduro Championship – Round 4: Bonnie Doon, Vic
 

This event is conducted by the National Motorsport Association, under the sanction of the Australian Motorcycling Competition Association.

How to Enter:

1. If you have an AMCA competition licence:

   • Juniors race entry is just $220 (plus third party processing fees)

   • Seniors race entry is just $385 (plus third party processing fees)

2. If you don’t have an AMCA licence (AMCA Membership Only):

   • The $77 single licence fee is included in your entry fee (it appears like magic 😁)

     • Single licences do not accrue points or are shown in the championship positions in the Australian Hard Enduro Championship, an annual AMCA competition licence is required to gain points & championship positions

   • Total to pay: $462

   • Bridging Licence: If you already hold a current annual competition licence with another recognised motorcycling body, you can secure an AMCA Bridging Licence.

     • With a bridging licence Juniors race entry is just $235 

     • With a bridging licence Seniors race entry is just $400

   • 
     
     Bridging licences are valid for one event.
     All bridging licences are manually approved.

     (Bridging licences do not accrue points or are shown in the championship positions in the Australian Hard Enduro Championship, an annual AMCA competition licence is required to gain points & championship positions.

      

3. Event details: The event runs over two days, with riding on both days.

• Sign-in will take place from midday on Friday till 5pm and again on Saturday morning (finer details will be in the final instructions).
• All competitors will receive a transponder at sign-in, there is no charge for this.
  • Riders should not use metallic sticker kits; We can't guarantee timing if they have metallic stickers.
• Single event and Bridging licence holders do not register a race number, you'll be allocated numbers and receive them at sign-on.
• Saturday sees race one take place. This sets the start order for Sunday.
• Junior 13 to under 16 125cc to 300cc 2-stroke & 100cc to 250cc 4-stroke 
  • Juniors wishing to compete on a 300cc 2 stroke capacity is based on individual endorsement.
• For the national championship rounds, there is only one class of juniors; no A or B classes.
• The main race starts on Sunday morning; competitors' starting positions are determined by their prologue results the previous day.
• All competitors leave in class order according to their Saturday results : Gold, Silver, Bronze,
• The starting positions for Sunday are sign-posted. All competitors must have their bikes on the start line in their correct order by 8am (race start is 8:30am)
• Failure to have your bike on the start line in time will see the competitor start at the back of their respective class.
• Track length will be advised in the Final Instructions
• E Moto are scored separately and may establish a second pit area if required.

TRACK

• The main track is bronze level, with Gold & Silver splits.
• The track is well arrowed and well sign-posted.
• Navigation is a part of racing. Should you ride the wrong track, that's on you.

ACCOMMODATION

• There is accommodation on site, rooms, beds and shower etc, please call 0458560320 to book.
• There is no camping on site, but there are loads of camping, cabins etc in the town of Bonnie Doon & Mansfield (A link to some cabins and camp area will be put into the event chat)
  Competitors may arrive on Friday
• There are toilets on site
• Catering & coffee will be onsite from Friday to Sunday for breakfast, lunch & dinner
• A competitor's crew may consist of the competitor and two others aged over 18 (minors can attend with a guardian/parent and are not counted in the crew numbers).
• From 9:30pm there is a no-noise rule. Competitors spend many months training and thousands of dollars preparing for a national event. We owe it to each other to see that no persons race is ruined by loud music, generators etc.
• The starting and/or revving of a bike after 6pm will see the person responsible removed from the property and their AMCA licence/membership revoked with no refund.
• No bikes are to be ridden in the general paddock area except for travelling to and from the racetrack for the race start & race end.
  • Bikes are to be ridden in first gear and at a slow pace.
     
• Please take all rubbish with you and leave the property clean.
• During the race period, refuelling must only take place in the allocated pit area; refuelling outside the allocated pit area will result in disqualification.
• The promoter is responsible for supplying 2 x suitable fire extinguishers for the pit area for internal combustion machines.
• Competitors competing on E-Motos who are not competing in the E-Moto series are responsible for supplying their own suitable extinguisher. Failure to do so will result in the competitor being unable to race.
  • Any E-Moto competitor in the AHEC is not permitted to set up an additional pit or enter the additional pit area for the E-Moto series.
• E-Motos must be charged away from the campground.
• All competitors must have a suitable fire extinguisher at their camp and be visible. 
• Solid camp fires will only be permitted pending local conditions, CFA advice and, with the consent of the landowner, this will be advised closer to the event.  
• Anyone attending the event is responsible for their camp fire. All fires must be contained.
• Charcoal & gas cookers are permitted.

ATTENDING THE EVENT

• Pit Crew must register to the event via our website and present their registration via our Member Jungle app upon entry for E-sign-in.
  • There are no exceptions to this as it is an insurance requirement.
• All minors must be supervised by a guardian/parent at all times.
• No person other than the competitor or adult crew member must enter the pit area at any time or be within 6mts of the edge of the racetrack.
• Persons who are closer than 6mts to the edge of the racetrack are trespassing.
• Persons who attend and have not registered to attend are trespassing.
  
   

RACE NUMBERS

• Single event and Bridging licence holders do not register a race number, you'll be allocated numbers and receive them at sign-on.
• For all competitors, three number plates must be fitted: one at the front and one on each side.
• Front number plates must have figures which are clearly visible at a distance of 20 metres and a solid 10mm wide border.
• Advertising is permitted on all machines but must be at least 25mm clear of the number plate background and the rider’s name by either a gap or a contrasting colour strip, unless the advertising is an integral part of the back-plate cover.

All competitors will receive the final instructions via the chat on the Member Jungle app approximately two weeks prior to the race start.

CLASSES

BRONZE
• Bronze is our “Entry Level” class – if you have not ridden or raced Hard Enduro previously this is the class you should select, although you may not finish.
• Bronze class is manageable and fast – but still challenging. For the less experienced candidates – especially those coming from MX or grass track background, this is where you will be tested and “find your feet” for riding Hard Enduro.
• For the Bronze class, solid enduro riding and technical skills are needed.
• A good enduro racing experience with decent results is recommended.
• You should have a moderate level of physical fitness, mental stability and the ability to deal with pain and endurance.

SILVER
• In the Silver class there are some future Gold class candidates who are getting ready for the “Real Thing” and some former Gold class riders who are looking for a more realistic chance to finish and have some fun.
• The majority of the top silver class competitors are some of the best riders in their state, with extensive riding & racing experience. The Silver class trails are technically almost as difficult as the ones for the Gold class – but with less intensity and duration.
• You will require Extreme Enduro experience. Your physical fitness, mental stability and ability to deal with pain should be excellent.
• You should be able to maintain a fluent riding style even in the most extreme sections.

GOLD
 

• Gold for most riders in Australian means “IMPOSSIBLE to ride”. There is only a small group riders who are able to finish the Gold class.

• You should be an experienced Hard Enduro rider with proven race results or have a solid trials background. Your physical fitness, mental stability and ability to deal with pain should be world class. The sections we will present to you will be impossible to ride for “normal humans” including extreme sections of steps, and insane up and down hills.

• You should be able to maintain a consistant riding style, even in the most extreme sections.
• All riders registering for Gold are vetted by the race organiser.

WOMENS
 

• The Womens class operates on the hierarchy system for the 2026 national rounds. (a minimum of one lap be completed)
• Hierarchy System Explained: Women can choose to ride in any class (Gold, Silver, Bronze). Results are determined using a hierarchy: Gold > Silver > Bronze. Within each class, laps still determine placing. But a rider in a higher class automatically places above anyone in a lower class. Example: 1 lap in Gold beats 5 laps in Silver and 20 laps in Bronze.

Note: Female competitors can choose to compete in Bronze, Silver, Gold or the Womens class (only the womens class operates with the hierarchy system)
